What Is Home Staging?
Historically, home staging was used for difficult-to-sell homes in the lower price brackets. But this is no longer the case!
Home staging is the preparation and presentation of a home, which helps to make it look and feel move-in-ready to potential buyers. Along with professional photography, it is one of the key tools in selling homes.
Empty properties (of all sizes and price ranges) can often struggle to sell quickly as it’s hard to imagine yourself living in an empty, cold, square room! When you sell a home, potential purchasers ‘buy into a lifestyle’, so it’s really important they can envisage themselves in the property.
The Home Staging Association (HAS) states, that ‘95% of staged homes sold quicker than those that were un-staged’, according to Rightmove, (What is Home Staging and Will It Help Sell My House?) for 8% more than non-staged homes.
According to the HAS 2019 report*:
“Home Staging focuses on presenting a property to its best so that it is sold or rented more quickly and at a better price. It aims to make a home appealing to the highest number of potential buyers, helping the viewers to envision themselves living at that property and embracing such lifestyle.”

Home staging is designed to show your property in its best possible light by enhancing its appearance through furniture, mirrors, artwork and soft furnishings. The aim is to appear inviting, stylish and organised, so it will appeal to the maximum number of potential buyers.
By using a home staging service, you can fill the property with furniture and make it look ready to move into, without having the stress, cost and worry of buying furniture, which you won’t need after the house has sold!
